Valarea - Configuration of Companion App

    Setting up the Valarea Companion App

    The Valarea Companion App unlocks many features within Valarea.

    Users of the standard (free) app can:

    • Scan the QR code to transfer your personal calendar to the Valarea POD;
    • Access your personal cloud files on the Valarea POD;

    Plus, with the full subscription version of the Companion App, users can:

    • Open a session and use the touch control on your App to control the room POD (subscription to full Companion App required);
    • Create, share and collaborate on Valarea whiteboard canvases on your mobile or desktop device
    • Transfer your canvas to the POD;
    • Launch WebRTC video calls to your collaborators

    Downloading and configuring the Valarea Companion App

    If you do not have the Companion App already installed on your mobile or desktop device, then you can scan the QR code on the POD to be directed to the App Store.

    If the link doesn't work, then go to your App Store and search for 'Valarea'.

    Once the app is downloaded, create your profile and configure the app with your credentials.

    Until the app is configured, it cannot authenticate your calendar.

    Populate your name, email address and personal O365 account details to access calendar and OneDrive files.

    Optionally, Google Cloud and Dropbox can be configured to access your cloud storage and Docusign can be configured for digital signature.

    NOTE:  Because Valarea POD makes calls using its own UC client accounts, the display name will always be the room name - not the personal name from the Companion App.

    Once the Companion App is configured, you can use the App to scan the QR code on the Valarea POD to access your personal calendar and cloud storage.
